I wrote about this before and seems like the issue is not going anywhere, so I decided to take a closer look at it.
When a recruiter posts a job online you can see dozens of candidates with almost identical reply: “please review my profile”.
From my perspective this is the worst way of reaching out to a recruiter, but let’s assume recruiter has the time and patience to click on every single “replys” profile. What do they see? Some generic profile information with no contact email!
I went ahead and clicked few of those profiles today to see if there is any details and/or contact information and none of the candidates had any information on how to be contacted.
You cannot expect the recruiters and hiring managers to “connect” with dozens of candidates all over the world on a daily basis just to review their Resumes and see if they are a good match.
If you want to be connected at least list your email address (again not personal email address, create one just for LI) and add this email to your profile and make sure it is visible to anyone that “reviews” your profile.
